Today I’m going to write about my week for two reasons: (1) I don’t have the time or energy to finish the post I was planning to share today and (2) I think I would like to record more of my daily life on this blog. So, I’m calling today’s post Scenes From the Week #1 just in case I want to make a series out of this. I cover my weekends in my The Sunday Currently post every Sunday, so I’ll stick to weekdays in these posts…. continue reading
Weekly Wishes #25
Each week, I link up with The Nectar Collective to join the community of bloggers who share their goals for the week. I’m continuing to update my goals for the entire month of July rather than having a new set of goals each week. Right now, thinking about my to-dos in this big picture format has been working the best for me.
Sometimes I wonder why I post these goals updates, but then I remember how much I am motivated by reading other people’s goals, and I also think about the encouragement I have gotten from doing this link-up. For these reasons, I definitely want to continue doing these posts, at least for the time being. I don’t expect that most people would like reading goals updates, but that’s okay!

The Sunday Currently, Volume 33
I’m writing this post from home for what seems like the first time in ages! We have been traveling up a storm, taking advantage of the sweet summertime. It has been amazing, but sometimes an unplanned weekend at home is the best. Friday Daniel and I checked out Truckeroo, one of DC’s food truck festivals (yummy!)… continue reading
June Favorites
June is over. Actually, we are almost halfway through July! I’m going to join the rest of the world (again) by saying that I am in shock how quickly 2014 is going. Life, won’t you slow down already? Book The Memory Keeper’s Daughter by Kim Edwards I was able to read three books in June…. continue reading
Weekly Wishes #24 and SCSBC 2014 Book Challenge: Month 2
I’m back from my trip to Galveston Island, Texas with my sisters. I had almost more airline delays than I could handle in this one little trip, but I had a blast with my sisters! Galveston is such a cute, historical island for exploring and relaxing – the perfect getaway for the holiday weekend. This… continue reading
The Sunday Currently, Volume 32
Today’s post will be short as I’m literally typing this on my iPad at the beach with my sisters in Galveston. Aaah, I just love a beach day. Currently… Reading The Memory Keeper’s Daughter. It’s excellent so far, and I hope to finish it on the three hour plane ride tomorrow. Writing this post… continue reading
Travel With Me – London // Where We Stayed & What We Ate
Welcome to part two of my three part Travel With Me series about our recent trip to London. Part one is a day-by-day outline of all the activities, attractions, and places we visited while we were there. I wrote that post intending for it to be read by anyone – both those interested in casually reading about… continue reading
Weekly Wishes #23 // July Goals
Happy Monday! I hope that everyone had a great weekend and is refreshed and ready to conquer the work week before the holiday! I know I am. I want to get a lot of work off of my plate before heading to Texas on Thursday. Today I’m linking up with The Nectar Collective’s Weekly Wishes…. continue reading
The Sunday Currently, Volume 31
As you can see from the pictures above, it has been a full and fun weekend. On Friday I went to the OneRepublic concert (with American Authors and The Script opening for them) with a group of friends. Saturday Daniel and I took a day trip to Annapolis, MD that involved browsing shops, ice cream,… continue reading
Travel with Me // London – What We Did
When I first started this blog toward the end of 2013, I was excited to use it as a place to share my travel experiences. Obviously, it has turned into more of a lifestyle blog, but I am still excited to write posts about our adventures. Since I haven’t done one of these posts in a… continue reading
