Happy Sunday! I’m taking a break from work to write a quick weekend recap. I missed posting a Scenes From the Week post again last Friday. I think I’m going to pick that series back up the week after next when I’m past my work deadline and actually have fun things to write about with… continue reading
The Sunday Currently, Volume 40
Happy Sunday! The Sunday Currently started as a fabulous link-up hosted by one of my favorite bloggers. Sadly, the link-up came to an end, but I continue to post TSC posts in order to share a weekend recap and a glimpse into my Sunday. [UPDATE: Since I wrote this post, I found out that another… continue reading

Happy Sunday! I’m going to continue posting the TSC posts even though the link-up has sadly ended. I really enjoy using these posts as a weekend re-cap and to share what I am doing on my most relaxed day of the week. I did a terrible job taking pictures this weekend, so there aren’t many…. continue reading

Happy Sunday! I hope that each of you had a great weekend. I definitely did. Aren’t weekends the best? If only they were one day longer…. Friday evening Daniel took the metro out to my office so that we could go to dinner at Maggiano’s. We had not eaten there together since we had dinner there… continue reading
The Sunday Currently, Volume 37
Our weekend kicked off with a fun dinner and game night at our friends’ (Kaitlin and Erik) apartment. I baked and brought a lemon cake recipe that I’ve been eyeing all summer. We played Ticket to Ride: Europe Edition. And somehow, even though I’m by far the least strategic in our group, I won (with significant… continue reading

I’m writing this from St. Petersburg, FL! We are here visiting Daniel’s Grandma for the weekend, and we head back home tomorrow night. We both have to work remotely from here tomorrow, but staying the extra day allowed us to have two full days to spend with his Grandma and his aunt who also lives… continue reading

It has been another weekend on the road. I’m not complaining – I love road trips! This weekend we drove down to Wake Forest, NC (which is near Raleigh) to visit my cousin Josh and his wife Meredith. We had a blast! Friday we drove down right after work. It took about five hours with… continue reading

Daniel and I just got back from a quick one-night trip to Gettysburg. Yesterday we spent the afternoon doing a self-guided auto tour of the Civil War battlefields. We picked up our CDs at the Visitor Center Gift Shop. The tour took about three hours long if you add up the time spent stopping and looking at sites as well as the driving between stops and listening to the audio on the CD. It was pretty fascinating.

I’m writing this post from home for what seems like the first time in ages! We have been traveling up a storm, taking advantage of the sweet summertime. It has been amazing, but sometimes an unplanned weekend at home is the best. Friday Daniel and I checked out Truckeroo, one of DC’s food truck festivals (yummy!)… continue reading
The Sunday Currently, Volume 32
Today’s post will be short as I’m literally typing this on my iPad at the beach with my sisters in Galveston. Aaah, I just love a beach day. Currently… Reading The Memory Keeper’s Daughter. It’s excellent so far, and I hope to finish it on the three hour plane ride tomorrow. Writing this post… continue reading
